Frozen shoulder

Sciatic pain

Repetative strain injuries..

Neck and shoulder pain..

Tennis/Golfers elbow.

Ili-tibial band syndromes

Massage, whether deep tissue, sports or therapeutic, is used to treat muscle pain, injury and stiffness, and aid musculoskeletal mobility.

It has been proven to have enormous value in improving general levels of relaxation, and, in reducing the levels of stress and anxiety, held in our bodies thus helping to calm the body and mind connection. It has positive effect on the function of the immune system, encouraging the release of oxytocin, dopamine and endorphins, and reducing cortisol levels.

I have added the therapeutic use of hot stones, as part of each treatment where indicated. This thermo-therapy introduce heat to the area of the body that is the treatment focus; softening and warming tissues, to increase the efficacy of the massage and related techniques.

Hot stone massage is exceptionally soothing, and a full body therapeutic massage can be requested making full use of the wonderful hot stones.

I really enjoy working alongside my osteopathic colleagues here at Bidwell. l am very pleased to be able to offer complimentary therapeutic treatments and considered exercise programmes to support their clients’ continued improved mobility into the longer term.

Microsuction Ear Wax Removal

I have completed a Safe Wax Removal Training with Micro suction UK. I can now offer this newer, modern, safer, method of removing excess ear wax build up. Any wax is removed using a tiny sterilised suction probe, which is placed into the ear canal to gently suck put any wax buildup.

The presence of small quantities of ear wax is good, in that it forms a natural protection of the ear canal, and lubricates it , which catches particles of dust that may enter the ear. This helps to create a healthy environment to fight off bacteria etc.

When there is a significant  buildup in wax formation the following are reported;

Itchiness, hearing loss, earache, tinnitus, feeling of blocked ears, and the interruption of good hearing aid function.

Things like ‘in the-ear’ head phones, working environment, cotton bud use, hearing aids, age, genetic timeline are known to cause wax to build up.

Microsuction is considered to be cleaner, and more comfortable for the patient, and only requires adding oil drops into ears, for a couple of days before the microsuction takes place.

Due to absence of water being added into the ear, there is much less chance of any infection following the procedure.

I use highly magnified Loupes and a very good light to ensure accurate, clear vision, directly into the patients ear canal, thus any  wax can be removed accurately and safely.

There are times when the wax can be so impacted and dried, and in these situations then warm water irrigation is needed.I use a warm water pulse irrigator with controlled pressure to remove these hardened wax collections. You will need to follow the aftercare advice to minimalise any issues arising from the use of water.

I am very happy to discuss this with you during the appointment, or at any time.

Please call our reception to make an appointment or to talk to directly to me.
